SUMMER

BYB’s Summer Program has grown tremendously, and features something for everyone. From a competitive local to competitive travel ball, we’ve got your summer covered.

Summer Minors – Competitive Local

Summer Minors is a small competitive league that takes place entirely in Brookline for kids age 7-10 with at least two years’ experience. A coach recommendation is preferred. Games and practices are Monday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings from July 6 through August 10 this year. Team composition allows for family vacations, but players need to be available for 75% of the games. This is a great introduction to summer competitive ball, and a feeder program for Bay State Baseball.

Bay State Baseball – Competitive Travel

For players who are ages 9-12 on April 30 of this year, and who have excellent baseball skills, we create teams in four age groups (9, 10, 11 & 12) to compete against similar teams from all over the Greater Boston Area. The season begins in late June and runs into mid-August. Our teams have brought home numerous trophies in the past three years, a testament to Brookline’s excellent players and coaches. It is a time-intensive program with games on weekday afternoons and weekends and demands a near-full time commitment from players and families for success. Details about this summer’s program will be posted in April.

Lou Tompkins League Baseball – Competitive Travel

For players who are ages 13-16 on April 30 of this year, and who have excellent baseball skills, we create teams in two age groups (14, 16) to compete against similar teams from all over the Greater Boston Area. The season begins in mid-June and runs into early August. Our 16U team won the League Championship in 2012, and finished in 2nd place in 2010 and 2011. It is a time-intensive program with games on weekday afternoons and weekends and demands a near-full time commitment from players and families for success. Details about this summer’s program will be posted in April.
